Misiune

This position requires eligibility for a TN visa (i.e., Canadian citizenship) because it is located in Auburn Hills, MI. 


We are seeking a Junior Automotive Designer to support the design and development of automotive components and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Engineering graduate with automotive co-op/internship experience and hands-on exposure to CAD and mechanical design through academic projects or previous experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of automotive components from concept through production.
  • Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
  • Assist with design reviews, engineering changes, and documentation.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and vehicle integration activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving design and vehicle-related issues.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Apply GD&T, engineering standards, and design best practices.

Profil

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Recent graduate or 0–2 years of engineering/design experience.
  • Previous automotive co-op, internship, or student work experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD/design, gained through professional, co-op, or university projects.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented automotive environment.

Preferred:

  • Automotive design or vehicle development project experience.
  • Experience with CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or Teamcenter.
  • Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier 1 engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management and product development processes.
