Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) - Design Engineer Mechanics
Job Description
We plan, build and implement a wide variety of highly automated systems for our customers in the body-in-white/body shop as well as for other production areas. For this purpose, a wide variety of designs have to be created. For this purpose, we are looking for reinforcement in our team with the following tasks:
- Definition of the project goals with the customer, as well as coordination of all requirements for the mechanical construction
- Development of initial design concepts to implement the customer's requirements
- Development of detailed design concepts up to detailed design (3D) in the area of tools and fixtures
- Evaluation of different design concepts regarding feasibility, manufacturability, degree of fulfilment of requirements as well as financial evaluation
- Preparation of tenders in case of an external design assignment, supervision of the external design companies until the acceptance of the mechanical design
- Support during the manufacturing phase and the construction phase of the plants, if problems arise, with proposals for solutions and during implementation
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of technical vocational training and specialized training as a technician or at least 3 years of university education in engineering (e.g. mechanical engineering).
- At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design for manufacturing equipment and machines
- CAD knowledge (CATIA, SIEMENS NX and/or SOLIDWORKS)
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to coordinate activities
- Problem-solving skills, teamwork, creativity, independent working style and good communication skills
- Excellent command of German and English
