Linux Devs Software

Job Description

As a Linux Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing software applications and services that run on the Linux operating system. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our critical systems, contributing to the success of our company.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Software Development & Maintenance:

-Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services that run on Linux systems.
-Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using various programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, or Go.
-Collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration of software components.
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software applications and services.
    

  • System Administration & Optimization:

-Configure and manage Linux servers, including installation, updates, and security hardening.
-Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.
-Implement automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks.
-Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, including network connectivity and resource allocation.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

-Work closely with other developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
-Document technical specifications and procedures to ensure clear communication and maintainability.
-Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.

  • Security & Compliance:

-Implement security best practices to protect systems from vulnerabilities and attacks.
-Stay informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
-Ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

-Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Linux Developer or similar role.
-Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including kernel concepts, system calls, and shell scripting.
-Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for Linux development, such as C, C++, Python, or Go.
-Experience with common Linux development tools, such as GCC, GDB, Make, and Git.
-Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing.
-Experience with system administration tasks, such as user management, file system management, and package installation.
-Understanding of security principles and best practices for Linux systems.
-Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Passion for Linux and open-source technologies.
