BIW Process Supervisor
Job Description
- Lead the development and implementation of BIW Automatic process equipment, tools and related facilities for new model assembly production
- Drive continuous improvement into the processes and equipment while meeting the cost and timing requirements of the program
- Directly report to manufacturing process engineers who lead the development of the BIW assembly process creation and tooling for new vehicle launches
- Interface with multiple organizations (Product Engineering, Vehicle Assembly, Quality, etc.) to understand components/subsystems for vehicles
- Use information obtained to generate process sheets, assembly layouts, installation tooling as well as special manufacturing requirements
- Lead Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities with the platform team for new/critical processes.
- Perform employee evaluation and coaching
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- +10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Vehicle manufacturing experience
- Proven program/project management skills.
- Ability to effectively work and interact at all levels of the organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficient presentation and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
