Stockroom Supervisor

Job Description

The Stockroom Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will handle managing small work teams in a fast-paced, high volume, unionized, engineering facility environment. The Stockroom Shipping & Receiving Supervisor handles ensuring team safety; building teams and training / distributing workforce; driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to improve service quality and ensuring team morale. The selected candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to supervising the following activities.

Forecasting needs of all consumables for the plant
Timely procurement of all materials, consumables for the plant.
Shipping and receiving materials in and out of the plant.
Material moves throughout the plant.
Warehouse Facility staging for material not in use.
Procurement of all materials, consumables for the plant.
Stockroom disbursement of consumables to the plant.
Leading a UAW workforce of Salaried and Hourly Bargaining Unit employees
Supporting operations 24/7

Training available

Qualifications

Previous Supervisor experience
Bachelor's degree
2-4 years supervisory experience in Testing / Engineering / Manufacturing in a Union environment
Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products
Must have great communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have mid-level computer skills.
Must have demonstratable leadership skills.
- Able to make changes.
- Able to enforce work guidelines.
- Able to coach employees.
- Able to hold others accountable.
Automotive experience- preferred
Worked with Union - preferred.
