Stockroom Supervisor
Job Description
The Stockroom Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will handle managing small work teams in a fast-paced, high volume, unionized, engineering facility environment. The Stockroom Shipping & Receiving Supervisor handles ensuring team safety; building teams and training / distributing workforce; driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to improve service quality and ensuring team morale. The selected candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to supervising the following activities.
- Forecasting needs of all consumables for the plant
- Timely procurement of all materials, consumables for the plant.
- Shipping and receiving materials in and out of the plant.
- Material moves throughout the plant.
- Warehouse Facility staging for material not in use.
- Procurement of all materials, consumables for the plant.
- Stockroom disbursement of consumables to the plant.
- Leading a UAW workforce of Salaried and Hourly Bargaining Unit employees
- Supporting operations 24/7
- Training available
Qualifications
- Previous Supervisor experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years supervisory experience in Testing / Engineering / Manufacturing in a Union environment
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products
- Must have great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have mid-level computer skills.
- Must have demonstratable leadership skills.
- Able to make changes.
- Able to enforce work guidelines.
- Able to coach employees.
- Able to hold others accountable.
- Automotive experience- preferred
- Worked with Union - preferred.
