Systems Engineer – Lifecycle Management | CAMEO

Job Description

The Systems Engineer will lead key activities in lifecycle-management engineering for advanced automotive functions (L2++ / Highway Pilot). This role focuses on evaluating system architectures, developing end-to-end functional chains, creating MBSE system models, and defining lifecycle-management requirements aligned with industry standards, safety regulations, and SDV/E³ architectures. The ideal candidate combines technical depth in systems engineering with strong analytical capabilities and experience working in architecture environments.

 

1. Systems Development & Traceability

  • Drive systems-engineering activities related to lifecycle-management requirements, use cases, and end-to-end functional chains.

  • Ensure traceability between requirements, system behaviors, interfaces, and architecture determinants.

2. Architecture Evaluation

  • Assess and document system architectures (E³ 1.2, SDV 0.1/1.0) with focus on lifecycle management for L2++ / Highway Pilot functionalities.

  • Identify architectural gaps, improvement opportunities, and dependencies impacting system performance and regulatory compliance.

3. MBSE System Modeling (Cameo)

  • Build and maintain a consistent and complete system model using Cameo/MagicDraw.

  • Model end-to-end functional chains and ensure signal-level representation of all relevant system interfaces.

  • Provide modelling evidence, review documentation, and architecture analysis reports to support decision making.

  • Collaborate closely with architecture teams and integrate MBSE content with FAME/RLSA work models.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in systems engineering for automotive or similar safety-critical domains.

  • Expertise in MBSE methodologies and proficiency with Cameo

  • Strong understanding of SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) architecture, functional safety

  • Ability to analyze complex architectures and derive structured, traceable system requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
