Misiune

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Release Engineer (DRE) to lead the design, development, integration, and release of complex electronic modules and hardware components. In this role, you will act as the single point of technical ownership for electronic hardware from initial concept through engineering releases, manufacturing, and lifecycle support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional system engineering teams, software developers, PCB designers, and external suppliers to deliver high-reliability electronic systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesHardware Design & Technical Release

  • Component Ownership: Lead the complete technical lifecycle (concept, schematic/layout reviews, design releases, and sign-offs) for assigned Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and hardware modules.
  • Requirements & Specifications: Define and author detailed component technical requirements, hardware specifications, interfaces, and functional performance criteria.
  • Design & Review: Oversee board-level hardware design including schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout guidelines, signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and thermal performance.
  • Engineering Release Management: Manage product data management (PDM/PLM) release processes, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and component documentation.

Supplier & Project Coordination

  • Supplier Execution: Serve as the primary technical contact for Tier 1/2 electronics manufacturing suppliers, ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Design Reviews: Lead formal hardware design reviews (PDR, CDR) with cross-functional teams and external supply partners.
  • Cost & Quality Optimization: Identify cost-down opportunities (VAVE), address design risks (DFMEA), and resolve hardware non-conformances.
  • Test, Validation & Compliance
  • Testing Oversight: Collaborate with validation teams to build and execute Design Verification (DVT) and Process Verification (PVT) test plans.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs satisfy industry regulatory compliance, Signal/Power Integrity, EMC/EMI standards, and functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IPC, or MIL-STD depending on industry).
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (8D / 5-Whys) for hardware failures during prototype builds, manufacturing, or field operations.

Profil

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Computer Engineering (BSCE), or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 3–7+ years of experience as an Electronics Hardware Engineer, DRE, or Component Lead in automotive, aerospace, medical, or high-reliability consumer electronics.
  • Hardware Fundamentals: Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, microcontrollers, communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART), and PCB layout best practices.
  • Release & Lifecycle Systems: Demonstrated experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter, Agile) for managing BOMs, engineering releases, and ECOs.
  • Tools & Simulation: Familiarity with hardware design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Mentor Graphics) and simulation tools (SPICE).
  • Testing Knowledge: Hands-on experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies) and managing EMC/EMI testing.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Functional Safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and environmental testing (e.g., DO-160, ISO 16750, MIL-STD-810).
  • Experience conducting DFMEA, Worst-Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA), and derating analyses.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
