Misiune

As a Buy Part Engineer, you will be responsible for managing suppliers of stamped sheet metal parts and welded assemblies from sourcing to serial production. You will ensure technical feasibility, quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery while coordinating closely with suppliers, project teams, and quality stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

As a Buy Part Engineer, you will manage suppliers of stamped sheet metal parts and welded assemblies from sourcing through start of serial production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating supplier offers and supporting supplier selection decisions.
  • Ensuring product feasibility and process robustness through technical analysis of tooling, materials, simulations, and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinating technical requirements and project data with suppliers.
  • Negotiating part and tooling costs while ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
  • Supervising tooling trials, production launches, and supplier performance.
  • Monitoring product quality, analyzing defects, and driving corrective action plans.
  • Managing APQP activities and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Validating capability studies and supporting the transition to serial production.
  • Acting as the key interface between suppliers, project teams, quality, and manufacturing stakeholders.

Profil

  • Profile & Qualifications

    • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
    • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • Knowledge of stamping processes, tooling, CAD tools, and simulation analysis.
    • Understanding of APQP, PPAP, and quality management systems.
    • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage supplier relationships and support project delivery.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Fluent in English and French.
