Misiune

SEGULA Technologies, a global leader in high-value Engineering and Consulting services with over 15,000 engineers across more than 30 countries, is looking for a SOLUTION ARCHITECT to join our project team based in Aveiro, Portugal with work on-site.

You will join a transformation and industrialization project for a digital platform serving the automotive industrial sector, evolving an existing solution toward a global cloud-native architecture deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


Profil

Responsibilities:

  • Define and safeguard the global technical target architecture, successfully migrating and transitioning the backend from existing legacy structures into a highly clean, modular microservices-ready architecture using NestJS/Node.js.

  • Enforce strict alignment with the corporate integration blueprint by utilizing Apigee for API Management (REST / API-first approach) and deploying Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) patterns via Solace to replace legacy point-to-point protocols (such as Socket.io).

  • Design and optimize the global data layer on GCP (Cloud SQL / PostgreSQL), orchestrating robust data model normalization, performance tuning, high availability, and secure multi-plant data migration strategies from old legacy schemas.

  • Oversee, design, and validate the end-to-end integration and synchronization flows connecting the Line Management platform with critical industrial core systems, including SAP and Dassault systems


Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Integration Architect, or in a senior technical leadership role managing complex software ecosystems. 

  • Strong technical background with solid experience in Node.js, NestJS (TypeScript), clean architecture patterns, and decoupling monolithic systems.

  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale SPA architectures using Angular (17+) to guide state management and modular design decisions.

  • Deep knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, specifically GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Cloud Run, and IAM governance.

  • Hands-on experience implementing enterprise Event Brokers (Solace, Kafka, or similar) and API Management platforms (Apigee).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between delivery streams and corporate Enterprise Architects.

  • Full professional fluency in English (all technical documentation and global governance are managed in English).

  • Based in or near Aveiro, or available to relocate and work on-site
