Zadania

SEGULA Technologies, a global leader in high-value Engineering and Consulting services with over 15,000 engineers across more than 30 countries, is looking for a SENIOR FULL STACK DEVELOPER to join our project team based in Aveiro, Portugal, with work on-site

You will join a transformation and industrialization project for a digital platform serving the automotive industrial sector, evolving an existing solution toward a global cloud-native architecture deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain frontend (Angular) and backend (NestJS/Node.js) features, with full ownership of technical design decisions.

  • Lead database optimization and tuning efforts, including migrations and complex query improvements.

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application's data flows.

  • Work in parallel across different functional modules, coordinating with the rest of the team and providing technical input on architecture decisions.

  • Actively contribute to API standardization (REST/API-first) and middleware integration.

  • Help drive code quality, modularity, and maintainability as part of an ongoing refactoring effort on an existing solution (not a greenfield build).

  • Support and mentor junior team members on development best practices.

Profil

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.

  • At least 4-5 years of Full Stack development experience, with strong command of Angular (17+) and NestJS/Node.js.

  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational database optimization in production environments.

  • Prior experience with cloud architectures (GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Advanced knowledge of testing best practices (unit, integration, e2e).

  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute technical judgment to architecture decisions.

  • Full professional fluency in English (all corporate reporting, project governance, and documentation are strictly in English).

  • Based in or near Aveiro, or available to relocate and work on-site.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Apigee or other API management tools.

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Solace or similar).

  • Experience leading or contributing to refactoring projects on existing systems.

  • Knowledge of Portuguese, Spanish, or French to smooth local collaboration at the Aveiro plant.
