SEGULA Technologies, a global leader in high-value Engineering and Consulting services with over 15,000 engineers across more than 30 countries, is looking for a SENIOR FULL STACK DEVELOPER to join our project team based in Aveiro, Portugal, with work on-site
You will join a transformation and industrialization project for a digital platform serving the automotive industrial sector, evolving an existing solution toward a global cloud-native architecture deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain frontend (Angular) and backend (NestJS/Node.js) features, with full ownership of technical design decisions.
Lead database optimization and tuning efforts, including migrations and complex query improvements.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application's data flows.
Work in parallel across different functional modules, coordinating with the rest of the team and providing technical input on architecture decisions.
Actively contribute to API standardization (REST/API-first) and middleware integration.
Help drive code quality, modularity, and maintainability as part of an ongoing refactoring effort on an existing solution (not a greenfield build).
Support and mentor junior team members on development best practices.
Profile
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.
At least 4-5 years of Full Stack development experience, with strong command of Angular (17+) and NestJS/Node.js.
Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational database optimization in production environments.
Prior experience with cloud architectures (GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
Advanced knowledge of testing best practices (unit, integration, e2e).
Ability to work autonomously and contribute technical judgment to architecture decisions.
Full professional fluency in English (all corporate reporting, project governance, and documentation are strictly in English).
Based in or near Aveiro, or available to relocate and work on-site.
Nice to have:
Experience with Apigee or other API management tools.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Solace or similar).
Experience leading or contributing to refactoring projects on existing systems.
Knowledge of Portuguese, Spanish, or French to smooth local collaboration at the Aveiro plant.
