Labor

We are seeking a driven Project Engineer to support vehicle, system, and component-level Noise, Vibration, Harshness, and Sound Quality performance across upcoming vehicle programs. In this role, you will play an active part in development, validation, and integration through hands-on testing, data analysis, and cross-functional problem-solving. From early concept development through final production, you will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure our vehicles deliver an exceptional acoustic and tactile user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing & Data Acquisition: Conduct hands-on NVHI testing, subjective evaluations, test setup, and data collection across various operating conditions (powertrain, road, wind, accessory, and interior noise).

  • Analysis & Reporting: Interpret vehicle requirements and industry standards; process complex NVH data to deliver clear technical summaries, root-cause analyses, and actionable recommendations.

  • Program Delivery: Support program tracking against performance targets using issue-tracking tools, recovery plans, and scorecards.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, CAE, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to resolve NVHI issues, perform benchmarking, and set target specifications.

  • Technical Communication: Prepare and present performance summaries for management and program reviews; work side-by-side with technicians and mechanics during vehicle testing.

  • Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, test quality, and cost-effectiveness across the NVHI department.

Perfil

Basic Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university.

  • Experience: Hands-on industry engineering experience (vehicle NVH testing or development preferred).

  • Core Competencies: Strong understanding of overall vehicle architecture and systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); strong planning and communication skills.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Master of Science degree in Engineering.

  • Experience using NVH measurement and processing tools (e.g., Siemens Simcenter Testlab, HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS, MATLAB/Simulink).

  • Familiarity with root-cause analysis techniques such as Transfer Path Analysis (TPA), Modal Analysis, or Angle Domain Analysis.

  • Exposure to active/electronically controlled NVH systems (e.g., Active Noise Cancellation / ANC).
