Labor

  • Ensure compliance of materials and substances used in automotive products with European regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards.
  • Analyze and validate Material Data Sheets (MDS) submitted by suppliers to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage material declarations in IMDS and IPCA/MATSUB throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide technical expertise on material compliance, restricted substances, and regulatory requirements to engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Support the continuous improvement of materials compliance processes, documentation, and digital tools.
  • Contribute to the development of materials-related processes that enhance product compliance, quality, and cost efficiency.

Perfil

We are looking for a proactive and analytical professional with experience in materials compliance and regulatory requirements within the automotive industry.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Analyze and validate Material Data Sheets (MDS) submitted by suppliers.
  • Prepare MDS files for complete systems (engine and gearbox) for customer submission.
  • Ensure compliance with REACH, IMDS, RNES, GADSL and other applicable substance regulations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain compliant and up-to-date material declarations.
  • Support Engineering teams by providing accurate information regarding substances and materials used in products.
  • Provide IMDS technical support and training to suppliers.
  • Prepare reports and KPIs related to MDS analysis, prohibited substances and compliance activities.
  • Perform substance and material impact assessments for automotive components.
  • Draft and maintain procedures, work instructions and supplier guidelines related to MDS and IMDS processes.
  • Research and propose improvements to materials and related processes to support product evolution and cost optimization.
  • Manage IMDS submissions according to customer guidelines and internal requirements.
  • Verify compliance with material standards and product quality requirements.
  • Configure and maintain business rules within IPCA/MATSUB applications.
  • Interpret and implement regulatory requirements related to materials and substances.
  • Provide expert guidance on MDS content interpretation and regulatory compliance.
  • Work across the entire product lifecycle, from concept freeze to aftermarket activities.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering teams, Environmental Compliance specialists and international suppliers.
  • Participate in technical meetings, supplier discussions and cross-functional project reviews.
  • Deliver high-quality analyses while meeting project deadlines and compliance objectives.
  • Proposed salary range: 4,000–5,500 RON net/month, depending on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, and competencies.
  • Working model: Hybrid, combining remote work with on-site collaboration at the client's office in Bucharest.
