Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Wiring Harness Design Release Engineer (DRE) to take ownership of the end-to-end design, development, validation, release, and lifecycle management of vehicle wiring harness systems for Stellantis programs.
In this role, you will own assigned harnesses from initial concept through to full production. You will be the primary driver ensuring that all quality, cost, timing, and functional requirements are flawlessly achieved, directly impacting the electrical reliability of next-generation vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Release Ownership: Lead the comprehensive design, physical packaging, development, and engineering release of assigned wiring harness systems.
Change & Issue Management: Proactively manage engineering changes, resolve technical issues, and ensure all program deliverables hit strict milestones.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, validation, and tier-1 supplier teams to align design intent with manufacturing capability.
Program Support: Drive and support the creation of DFMEA and DVP&R documents, and provide on-site engineering support during prototype builds, vehicle launches, and production ramp-ups.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct rigorous root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex design, manufacturing, and field/warranty issues.
Process Compliance: Guarantee total compliance with company engineering standards, industry best practices, and official corporate release processes.
Perfil
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct automotive experience specifically as a Wiring Harness Design Release Engineer.
Technical Skills: * Proven hands-on knowledge of wiring harness design rules, vehicle electrical systems, DFMEA, and DVP&R testing protocols.
High proficiency with industry-standard engineering tools such as NX, Teamcenter, Capital/CHS, or equivalent CAD/PLM systems.
