My philosophy is rooted in continuous learning, innovation, and a relentless focus on quality. 2. My Role at SEGULA

As the Director of Strategy & Quality and at SEGULA India, I am responsible for steering organisational strategy to meet business goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of quality. Additionally, I oversee the information security framework, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 and other critical standards, all while driving projects that enhance our market positioning.

3. My Training

With a foundation as a Mechanical Engineer, I have built my expertise through a combination of formal education and continuous professional development. My technical skills are reinforced by certifications such as the QMS Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) and ISO/IEC 27001 Internal Auditor. I have also participated in leadership programs, including the India Leadership Development Programme at IIM Bangalore. International training with Renault Samsung Motors in South Korea and Hyundai Motor Company has further expanded my knowledge in quality management, product analysis, and global project leadership.

4. My Professional Experience

With over two decades of experience in the automotive and engineering sectors, I have held key roles in project management, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. I have successfully led major transformation projects, implemented quality management systems, and managed global teams. My work has spanned several organizations, including SEGULA Technologies, Renault, General Motors, Hyundai, and Essar Steel.

I joined Segula in August 2022.

5. My Best Project

One of my most impactful projects was transforming a global Product Quality Analysis team, resulting in a €10 million cost-saving. Implementing agile problem-solving methods.

Implementing Quality and Information Security Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 27001 & TISAX) within a short term, boosting operational standards.

Led milestones for entry-level and SUV vehicle and powertrain projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

Built a state-of-the-art Product Failure Analysis Laboratory to improve issue resolution and product reliability.

6. My Passions

I am passionate about driving innovation, especially in areas of automotive quality and sustainability. I enjoy problem-solving and leveraging new technologies, such as AI and digital twins, to streamline processes. Outside of work, I am deeply committed to Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, which allow me to contribute to the well-being of the environment and society.

My greatest professional dream is to lead transformative projects that have a lasting impact on the automotive and engineering industries, particularly in the realm of sustainability and smart mobility. I aspire to make an impact on the world through engineering by contributing to a sustainable future that holds value for generations to come. On a personal level, I also seek to mentor the next generation of engineers, helping them realize their potential and drive innovation in their respective fields.

Adaptability, leadership, and a customer-centric approach are essential for success in this field. With the industry evolving rapidly, it’s important to stay informed of new trends and technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and cultures are also critical in maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring customer satisfaction.

9. Do You Have Any Advice or Recommendations for Young Professionals Wishing to Follow a Career Similar to Yours at SEGULA?

For young professionals, my advice would be to remain open to learning and to seek out diverse experiences. It is important to understand both the technical and strategic aspects of the business while staying connected to customer needs. Being proactive in seeking mentorship and taking ownership of projects will set you apart. Always be open to new challenges, as they are opportunities for growth.
