My philosophy
Do what you like the most!
My role at SEGULA
I am Senior Hardware Engineer. My role consists of extending the capabilities of SEGULA Electronics which were focussed on the design of PCBs and nowadays we are having the capability to extend the capabilities of the team with the possibility to do consulting projects in the area of electronics : electronic design, EMC consulting and also embedded SW. My role also focus on teaching new capabilities to the junior people inside of the team.
My training
I completed my Bachelor’s in Telecommunications, followed by a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, and then earned my Ph.D. in Electromechanics.
My professional experience
I worked several years at University as a researcher. After that, I focussed my technical carreer in designing electrical motors and computing physical simulations as CAE engineer. After this work, I decided to do a step in the world of electronics 4 years ago to be able to do electronic design for motors and the programming of their movement. All these mix of technical experiences, have been beneficial to start the engineering department at SEGULA Electronics.
My best project
Designing during my doctoral studies electronic an on-line monitoring for the health of electrical motors.
Electrical motors are responsible of consuming about 70% of electrical production. Due to that, there are many of these units which are critical applications and shutting them off are equal to losing hundred thousand euros per day. For instance in heavy machinery for mining, paper mill industry and power generation can be very expensive to be shut down. For this reason, condition monitoring techniques are capable of extending the operation of these units thanks to the minimization of the maintenance periods. The conditions monitoring consists of an array of accelerometers that could create some sort of echography images of the magnetic fields inside of the motors.
In this manner, the image could unequivocally detect all the asymmetries of the machine.
My passions
I like sports, music and science.
My greatest dream
I would like to bring a big development project to the Team.
