Fuel Cell Sealer
Job Description
- Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell.
- Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures.
- The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following:
- Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.
- Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.
- Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.
- Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments
- Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
- Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.
- •Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
- Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.
1. Integral Fuel Cell Sealing - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components.
2. Additionally, the employee must have the skill and knowledge to perform one or more of the skills listed below, along with any lower level sealant level described below: Sealer - Major Assembly / Large structure sealing / Aerodynamic seal
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING
- Require 5+ years of sealer experience in Aerospace Industry. Please note that experience in other industries will not be considered - aerospace assembly experience is required.
- This position is subject to ITAR regulations; therefore, candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EITHER SHIFT.
- Training will take place in Wichita, KS - offering hotel reimbursement for training only while in Wichita
- $119 weekly per diem
- 3 months contract
