Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Hazardous Waste & Incineration Management
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead and oversee a hazardous waste and incineration company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The CEO will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving growth, and managing operational efficiency in a highly specialized industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the overall vision and strategic direction of the company to achieve business growth, sustainability, and market leadership in hazardous waste management.
- Ensure alignment between short-term goals and long-term strategy, focusing on financial performance, operational excellence, and environmental responsibility.
- Provide leadership in establishing organizational goals and policies that adhere to industry best practices and legal regulations.
2. Operational Oversight
- Oversee all company operations, including waste collection, treatment, incineration, and disposal processes.
- Implement efficient systems and processes to optimize productivity while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Ensure the organization adopts innovative technologies and best practices in waste management.
3. Financial Management & Performance
- Manage the overall financial health of the company, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation strategies.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining operational and environmental integrity.
- Regularly review financial performance, providing reports and updates to the Board of Directors and shareholders.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Environmental Stewardship
- Ensure full compliance with KSA and international environmental regulations regarding hazardous waste handling and incineration.
- Maintain strong relationships with local regulatory bodies and industry associations to ensure that the company remains compliant and informed on changing legal landscapes.
- Promote sustainability initiatives and corporate social responsibility.
5. Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Lead a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence across all operations.
- Ensure that risk management systems are strong, and incidents are proactively prevented.
- Conduct regular safety audits and reviews to identify potential risks and improve safety protocols.
6. Stakeholder Relations
- Represent the company in key industry forums, conferences, and in relations with government bodies, clients, and partners.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with end-user and other strategic partners to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Act as the public face of the company, promoting its values and mission within the community and industry.
7. Leadership & Talent Management
- Build and lead a high-performing leadership team, encouraging a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Drive talent development initiatives to ensure the company has the skilled workforce needed to meet current and future challenges.
- Ensure that the organizational structure supports the strategic goals of the company and encourages growth and adaptability.
8. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive the company’s growth and diversification.
- Lead negotiations for major contracts, projects, and partnerships with a focus on increasing market share in the hazardous waste management industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the industrial or environmental services sector, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., CEO, COO, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in hazardous waste management, incineration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading a company or business unit within the KSA or GCC region is highly advantageous.
