Automotive Design Engineer (Interior Components)
Job Description
What will you do in this role?
We are looking for a Specialized Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing innovative interior components for vehicle programs. You’ll be responsible for designing elements such as trim, overhead systems, instrument panels, cargo flooring, and acoustic features—always with a focus on quality, integration, and industry standards.
What do we expect from you?
- Design and develop interior vehicle components, ensuring they are visually appealing, ergonomic, and manufacturable.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, applying GD&T specifications.
- Take part in design reviews and integration meetings, sharing your ideas and expertise.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all program requirements are met.
- Clearly document your design concepts, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Support change management and revision control processes to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
Junior Design Engineer (1–4 years of experience):
- Experience in design engineering, ideally in the automotive sector.
- Proficiency with Siemens NX and a solid understanding of SAE wiring design fundamentals.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Design preferred.
Senior Design Engineer (5+ years of experience):
- Extensive experience in automotive product design.
- Advanced Siemens NX skills, including electrical routing.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
- Experience with Altair SimSolid and CAE principles.
- Excellent English communication skills.
