Senior Process Engineering Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an Advanced Process Engineering Specialist to lead the development, approval, and implementation of fixturing, machinery, and process layouts. The role involves working closely with suppliers and internal teams to define tooling and equipment needs, ensuring successful process integration through simultaneous engineering meetings. The specialist will oversee design approvals, process layouts, and retooling efforts to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Assignments :
- Define fixturing and machinery in collaboration with selected suppliers.
- Participate in simultaneous engineering meetings to refine process designs.
- Approve final design releases for equipment builds.
- Develop and approve process layouts to optimize efficiency.
- Define retooling requirements with suppliers to accommodate process changes.
- Oversee final retooling design approvals before build release.
- Ensure process layouts are updated and approved after retooling.
- Approve final fixturing and machinery designs before build release.
- Develop and maintain process sheets.
- Conduct three rounds of Process PFMEAs before installation is complete.
- Submit weekly reports for each program.
- Ensure final retooled process layouts are approved.
Deliverables:
- Approved fixturing and machinery designs for build release.
- Process sheets and finalized layouts.
- Three rounds of Process PFMEAs before installation completion.
- Final machinery retool design approval for (TBD) stations.
- Weekly reports tracking progress and milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of process and plant operations.
- Expertise in manufacturing processes, with a focus on powertrain/propulsion.
- Experience with ICE machining and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of battery tray machining and assembly processes.
