Junior System Engineer for Traction
Job Description
We are looking for a Junior System Engineer for Traction to join our team and support a major client operating in the railroad industry. Technical education in the field of electric/electronic engineering required (or documented equivalent experience), better if knwoledge or experience in power supply, converters, transformers, motors, generators, electromechanical component.
The activities required will be:
- Perform thermal simulation and tractive effort calculation with company tools
- Writing technical specification for traction chain components and verify technical comformity of the proposed solution
- Writing Test reports and technical notes
- Manage and check customer and internal requirements, with company process and tools
- Writing of traction chain description
- Modify from drawings and specifications, and carry over previous solution
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical/electronic engineering
- 1 year of experience in the role
- Knowledge of Office and DOORS (desired)
- Ability to read and write electrical schematics
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Analytical thinking
- Problem solving attitude and willingness to take over responsibility
- High degree of self-motivation and capability to work independently
- Willingness and ability to work in teams even in international teams
- Respecting schedule in delivery
Work Location Vado Ligure and Milan, willingness to travel weekly and as needed for the project is required
