Rail Non-Destructive Testing Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various NDT inspections on railway components in accordance with strict industry standards and integrity of our rail vehicles. Three-shift working in Production on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct NDT inspections using various methods, including Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).
  • Ensure all inspections are performed according to contractual specifications and customer's instructions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports, including findings, interpretations, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with customer representatives to ensure clear communication and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Perform daily calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment.
  • May participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inspection processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of quality inspection experience as a Non-Destructive Testing Technician in the railway industry (or relevant industry). Including using of digital tools.
  • Valid certifications in VT, MT, PT, UT, and RT according to EN ISO 9712 or EN 473. The required level of NDT method is 2 or higher.
  • Strong understanding of railway safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using computer software for data collection and reporting.
