QA/QC Engineer (Energy Engineering projects)
Job Description
Reporting To:
QA/QC Manager
Responsibilities
- Understand and implement client-specific QA/QC requirements.
- Actively contribute to proper project setup.
- Develop and/or review Project-Specific Quality Plans (aligned with ISO 10005 and client specifications) and procedures.
- Provide quality management training to project staff.
- Prepare quality-related documentation as required by the Project scope.
- Participate in interdisciplinary reviews per the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Lead and execute project quality audits with strong knowledge and experience in audit processes.
- Plan, prepare, and successfully conduct internal audits (as per ISO 19011 and client specifications).
- Prepare, execute, report, and follow up on Project audits.
- Implement and report on non-conformance systems.
- Plan and perform vendor project prequalification and performance audits.
- Identify quality deficiencies, propose corrective actions, and verify their implementation.
- Ensure contract quality requirements are communicated and met by subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain the Project Quality System.
- Calculate and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project.
- Prepare monthly Project Quality Status Reports.
- Arrange and conduct Project Management Review Meetings as per the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
- Ensure compliance with final documentation requirements before submission to clients.
- Report on the performance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the project quality system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (minimum).
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (IRCA registered or equivalent).
- Qualifications or certifications in Welding, Coating, and NDT are preferred.
