Electrical Layout Engineer (Nuclear)
Job Description
- Inputting data for building layouts (process & instrumentation diagrams, equipment data, cable lists, electrical load lists) analysing and verifying their technical consistency.
- Implementing various mechanical and electrical equipment within the building design.
- Routing electrical cable trays, pipes, HVAC ducts and in the 3D model, supported by a dedicated CAD team.
- Ensuring consistency between the process & instrumentation diagrams and the 3D model.
- Producing technical documents (progress reports, status reports, equipment introduction notes, change impact analyses, design procedures).
- Issuing layout drawings to the various teams and coordinates layout activities by ensuring compliance with the layout rules.
- Managing and monitoring the modifications requested by the various engineering teams.
- Anticipating and escalating of technical open points.
- Preparing layout engineering reviews (with all the engineering teams involved).
- Supporting execution design companies in the production of deliverables for manufacturing.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Good knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects (in particular, aspects relating to flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures).
- Hands on experience in one or several areas of engineering: Electrical Layout, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, safety.
- End to end knowledge and understanding of electrical & general layout rules for an industrial project.
- Previous experience working with 3D design software.
Prefer to have:
- Good knowledge of PDMS.
- Navisworks software knowledge.
