Primary Responsibilities

  1. Assembly & Installation

  • Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and structural/system components.
  • Follow drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established procedures.
  • Perform functional testing and ensure fit, form, and function of assemblies/components.
  1. Information & Documentation

  • Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal, and electronic sources.
  1. Tools & Measurements

  • Use shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments for assignments.
  • Utilize tooling in assembling components into sub-assemblies or end items.
  1. Quality & Verification

  • Verify work aligns with work instructions, process, and engineering specifications.
  • Identify discrepancies according to procedure.
  • Ensure equipment and tool certifications are current.
  1. Maintenance

  • Perform minor routine machine maintenance (e.g., filters, lights, lubrication/coolant levels).
  1. Material Handling

  • Move products within manufacturing areas using shop-assigned equipment.
  • Complete transactions necessary for moving products to the next operation.
  1. Scheduling & Productivity

  • Complete work within allotted schedules.
  • Support continuous product flow by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.

Training & Cross-Training

  • Train other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
  • Cross-train in inspection to become SIA qualified.

Equipment Operation

  • Setup and operate conventional and/or CNC and fastening equipment (<3-axis movement).
  • May include Drive Matic processes.

 

    Qualifications

    • 10 years of experience as structures technician / sheet metal in the aerospace industry. 
    • Fillet Seal and Electrical Bond Experience.
    • Specialty Skills Required : Assembly/Installation: Structures / Sealer Sub-Assembly
    • Additional Skills: Assembly/Installation of doors / Integral fuel cell sealing / Precision bench assembly / Pressure and vacuum testing
    • Available to start October 27, 2025
    • Available to work overtime
