NVH Engineer

Job Description

  • Develop Propulsion Systems – System Level Targets based on Top Down vehicle sensitivity methodology
  • Develop enabler features to ensure compliance with targets
  • Track gaps to target at each milestone
  • Inspect and confirm appropriate design features working with the design team
  • Identify and address root causes of NVH issues
  • Conduct competitive benchmark analysis and share highlights and benefits of the NVH enablers in time to ensure Stellantis refinement competitiveness
  • Participate in subjective vehicle evaluations to drive EDM, HEV Transmission, and Gearbox Designs
  • Establish NVH enablers required to meet program targets for Chassis and Ride Comfort
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating NVH benchmarking
  • Responsible for reporting status in regular management forums (i.e., VIT, Umbrella) and each program gate
  • Ensure the completion of the vehicle Design Verification Plan (DVP) accurately and on time
  • Timely root cause identification and resolution of technical issues.

Qualifications

  • ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Engineering or ABET equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of wind noise/sealing/acoustic package development and/or NVH engineering experience.
  • Experience using test techniques including sound transmission loss, absorption, and basic transfer path principles.
  • Must be organized, motivated, and adept with engineering practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in virtual settings with other team members.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing and sound quality metrics.
  • Knowledgeable in CAD, CATIA, and/or Teamcenter Nx.
  • Working knowledge of NVH analysis software (i.e., LMS, Head Acoustics, B&K).
