Body-In-White Facilities Supervisor

Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor for WPE is responsible for the development of equipment removal, relocation, or new installations, lead all utility and miscellaneous facility-related activities such as welding water chiller modifications, pneumatic, mechanical structural and electrical utility studies, including costs estimates, and vendor quotations, requisition development through procurement systems, vendor evaluations, etc.

A significant portion of this individuals work time will be in overseeing the activities of the WPE Support teams and interfacing with customer's Management personnel. A portion of the Supervisors time will be spent at the plant work site. They will be the lead responsible for maintaining the plant ACAD layout for both equipment and conveyor activities. The facility Supervisor will manage making accurate field observations, measurements and converting information supplied from other vendors into the overall composite plant layout for Assembly. They will be is responsible for preparing and managing the Facilities Master Timing plan for all assembly activities. They’ll manage the project scheduler that will maintain all scheduled body shop center, contractor and OEM activities. Support with the preparation of meeting minutes, reports, PowerPoint presentations and storage of program documentation within customer's ACC System. This Supervisor will report to the customer's Process Program Manager. The facility Supervisor is responsible for all Engineering activities carried out under his contract in North America Body Shops.

Main tasks will be :

  • Attend contractor / plant meetings.
  • Lead Developing study files and CapEx should cost.
  • Design / Fab / Installation Schedule
  • Punch list generation and close out.
  • PSR tracking on Facility and Conveyor Processes (CAD).
  • Shutdown manpower tracking.
  • Commissioning and Start Tracker Completion.
  • Beneficial Buy Off Meetings and Tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Expert of engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to effectively work and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
