Aufgabe
We are seeking detail-oriented Manufacturing Technicians for a number of ongoing projects in the North West to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on role involving the fabrication and installation of precision components used within advanced structures.
Working within a quality-driven manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for interpreting technical information, carrying out mechanical assembly operations, and ensuring products meet stringent industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and install precision components using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Interpret technical drawings, work packages, and build instructions.
- Perform hole preparation, fastening and fitting activities to required tolerances.
- Complete structural assembly tasks in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Undertake quality checks and dimensional inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Accurately complete build records and production documentation.
- Identify and report quality, safety, or process concerns.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient work area.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support team objectives.
Profil
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent in an engineering-related discipline.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong practical skills and confidence using engineering tools and equipment.
- Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
Desirable Experience
- Background in aerospace, defence, automotive, rail, or other precision engineering sectors.
- Experience of structural assembly or mechanical fitting activities.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and inspection techniques.
