1. My Philosophy

My life philosophy is based on constant effort to achieve everything I set out to do. I firmly believe in the importance of setting clear goals and working hard to achieve them. This mindset is reflected in my daily work, where the constant struggle to improve myself and motivate my team is an integral part of my approach.

2. My Role at SEGULA

In my current position as PowerPlatform Manager at SEGULA, I play a crucial role in the digital transformation of our clients. My responsibilities range from developing and implementing advanced tools in Power Platform, such as PowerApps and Power Automate, to the comprehensive management of technological projects.

As part of the Industry 4.0 Area and focused on the Power Platform universe, I lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that each phase of the project is executed with precision and efficiency. This includes planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of technological solutions that optimize internal processes and improve productivity. Additionally, I manage SharePoint sites and oversee the migration of document management, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

My role also involves continuous training, equipping employees with the skills to maximize their performance using new tools and technologies. I work closely with different departments within our clients to identify improvement opportunities and develop customized solutions that meet the specific needs of the company.

3. My Training

After completing a scientific baccalaureate, I decided to study Industrial Engineering at the University of Almería, where I graduated in 2018. This education provided me with a solid foundation in engineering principles and project management. Additionally, I have complemented my education with various certifications and specialized courses in Microsoft technologies and project management. These include the Microsoft PL-900 Certification, an online Master’s in Microsoft Power Platform for Controlling, and courses in Digital Project Management, Mobile App Development, and Management Control.

4. My Professional Experience

My professional career has been diverse and enriching, allowing me to acquire a wide range of skills and knowledge in different areas of engineering and project management. I began my career as an industrial engineer in the continuous improvement department of a multinational cement company, where I focused on identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions based on data analysis.

Subsequently, I worked in the technical office in the renewable energy sector, managing documentation and legalizing installations, as well as drafting projects. This experience allowed me to develop skills in project management and personnel organization.

My next step was at Zertum Developments, where I assumed the role of Digital Transformation Manager. In this position, I led the development of Power Automate and Power Apps tools, directed digital projects, and managed organizational transformation by applying agile methodologies such as SCRUM. Additionally, I was responsible for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics ERP and systems administration, which gave me a comprehensive view of technological and organizational management.

In February 2023, I joined the SEGULA team.

5. My Best Project

One of the most exciting and significant projects of my career has been the development of an advanced document management system. This innovative tool, created with Power Platform, not only transformed the document management of our client but also allowed for the customized design of forms and the consultation of technical data for calibration elements. The most gratifying aspect has been seeing how this solution has been successfully implemented in a factory, significantly improving operational efficiency. Additionally, the interest from other countries in adopting this tool demonstrates its value and potential. Leading this project allowed me to apply my technical and management skills and see the positive and tangible impact of technology on optimizing business processes.

6. My Passions

I am deeply passionate about the digital world and sports. In the professional field, I enjoy exploring new technologies and trends in engineering and project management, always looking for ways to innovate and improve processes. Outside of work, I am a great sports enthusiast, which not only helps me stay active and healthy but also provides a way to relieve stress and push myself. Sports teach me the importance of discipline, resilience, and teamwork, values that I apply daily in my professional life.

7. My Greatest Dream

My greatest professional dream is to help many companies discover the virtues of digitalization. I aspire to make people’s daily work lives easier and more efficient through the implementation of advanced technological solutions. I firmly believe that digitalization not only optimizes business processes but also improves employees’ quality of life, allowing them to focus on more strategic and creative tasks. This dream drives me to continue innovating and promoting digital transformation in all the organizations I work with.

8. What skills or qualities do you consider essential for success in your field?

To succeed in my field, I believe it is essential to have a solid technical foundation. This includes advanced knowledge of technological tools, as well as skills in programming and project management. In addition to the technical foundation, it is crucial to develop teamwork, leadership, and team management skills. The ability to adapt to new challenges and a mindset oriented towards continuous improvement and innovation are equally important. These qualities not only help to face daily challenges but also drive projects that transform and optimize business processes.

9. Do you have any advice or recommendations for young professionals wishing to follow a career similar to yours at SEGULA?

My advice for young professionals is to always stay curious and willing to learn. Continuous education and adaptation to new technologies are key to success. Additionally, it is important to develop project management and teamwork skills, as they are fundamental in any role within engineering and technology. If you have a dream, pursue it!
