SEGULA Technologies is supporting a major utility-scale energy infrastructure project in Uzbekistan and is seeking experienced professionals to join a multidisciplinary project team.
The project environment involves complex energy infrastructure, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electrical substations, high-voltage systems, civil works, mechanical systems, automation and SCADA interfaces, construction supervision, quality management, HSE, logistics, and project controls.
We are looking for experienced professionals capable of working within a multicultural EPC project environment and coordinating effectively with contractors, engineering teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Instrumentation & Control / SCADA Supervisor (BESS & Power Automation)

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control / SCADA Supervisor to support installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities for complex automation and control systems within a major energy infrastructure project.
The role requires strong expertise in SCADA/EMS, industrial instrumentation, PLC/RTU systems, communication networks, and BESS integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Review I&C system designs, control architectures, P&IDs, loop diagrams, datasheets, control narratives, and integration philosophies.
- Inspect field instrumentation, PLCs, relays, control panels, communication networks, and SCADA/EMS systems.
- Verify calibration certificates, instrumentation records, factory test reports, and quality documentation.
- Inspect wiring, termination, shielding, grounding, earthing, and weatherproofing.
- Supervise loop checks, functional tests, interlock verification, and logic validation.
- Witness FAT and SAT activities.
- Support system testing and commissioning.
- Verify integration between BESS EMS, SCADA platforms, inverter systems, substation automation systems, and utility/grid interfaces.
- Monitor compliance with QA/QC procedures and ITPs.
- Identify non-conformities and follow corrective actions through close-out.
- Review as-built documentation, configuration backups, test reports, O&M manuals, and handover packages.
- Support system acceptance and operational readiness.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in instrumentation, control, automation, SCADA, and commissioning activities on industrial energy or power projects.
- Proven experience in utility-scale BESS, electrical substations, renewable energy plants, power generation, or comparable industrial facilities.
- Previous experience supervising EPC contractors during construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with IEC 61850, IEC 61511, ISA, Modbus, OPC, and other relevant standards.
- Professional proficiency in English.
