Product Release & Engineering: Author, release, and maintain Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOM), CAD models,
and 2D engineering drawings throughout the product development life cycle.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Studio Design, Safety, Ergonomics, Tooling, and
Manufacturing Assembly to resolve packaging, clearance, and interference issues.
Supplier Leadership: Lead Tier-1 interior suppliers through Design Reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, tooling milestones,
Perfil
We are seeking an experienced Interiors Design Release Engineer (DRE) to direct the design, mechanical integration, packaging, and technical release of critical automotive interior commodities. The primary objective of this role is to ensure all vehicle interior systems meet functional, craftmanship, safety, and weight goals from initial concept through vehicle launch.
The candidate must possess proven engineering release and lifecycle ownership in each of the following automotive interior domains:
1. Cockpit Systems
Instrument panels (IP), center consoles, glove boxes, knee bolsters, cross-car structural beams, and associated hard trim attachment strategy.
2. Seats & Soft Trim
Complete seat assemblies with emphasis on trim covers (leather/fabric), sewing lines, foam contouring,frame integration, and J-clips.
3. Interior Lighting
Ambient light pipes, overhead console lights, illuminated door/IP trim elements, wire harness routing, and optical diffusion integration.
4. Air Ducts & Outlets
HVAC air distribution ductwork, instrument panel registers, louvers, airflow direction mechanisms, and seal integrity optimization.
