Job Mission
As a PMO Lead at SEGULA Technologies Mexico, you will be responsible for driving program management governance, operational efficiency, and financial control across multi-disciplinary engineering accounts (Automotive, Aerospace, and Energy). Operating under a hybrid scheme from our Mexico City office, you will act as the strategic bridge between engineering delivery teams, regional leadership, and key OEM clients.
You will lead PMO governance, oversee resource allocation, track account P&L, and ensure that engineering work packages meet strict time, budget, and quality gateways.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance & Portfolio Management
Establish, standardize, and enforce SEGULA’s PMO methodologies, KPI frameworks, and quality gateways across all active engineering consulting projects in Mexico.
Maintain complete portfolio visibility by managing executive dashboards, Risk/Issue logs (RAID), scope change controls, and milestone delivery schedules.
Facilitate recurring project gate reviews, executive alignment sessions, and continuous improvement post-mortems across delivery hubs (CDMX, Puebla, Querétaro).
2. Financial Controlling & Resource Management
Monitor project P&L, controlling profit margins, billable consultant utilization, and budget burn rates across client accounts.
Partner with Commercial and HR leads to oversee resource forecasting, technical onboarding, and team ramp-ups for new tenders and contracts.
Manage purchase order (PO) tracking, milestone invoicing, and scope change requests to guarantee 100% commercial recovery from client-driven scope changes.
3. Client Relationship & Operations Coordination
Serve as the central operational point of contact for client program directors and project managers at major OEM and Tier-1 facilities.
Coordinate cross-office delivery and resource sharing between Mexico City, regional branch offices, and client plant sites.
Collaborate with Business Development teams in structuring technical and financial proposals (RFPs/RFQs) for new engineering work packages.
Perfil
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical/Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. (PMP certification or Master’s degree is highly preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in project management, program control, or leading a PMO within an engineering consulting firm, Automotive Tier-1/OEM environment, or industrial technology company.
Software Tools:
Advanced proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
High competency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for executive dashboard creation.
Solid working knowledge of ERP/Financial systems (SAP, Oracle or similar).
Methodologies: Deep expertise in PMBOK, Agile/Scrum frameworks, APQP/VDA gateway processes, and Lean engineering principles.
Languages: Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory written and spoken for executive and international client reporting). Proficiency in French is a plus.
Work Scheme: Ability to work in a Hybrid scheme (3 days in office / 2 days remote) based in Mexico City, with occasional travel to regional client plants (e.g., Puebla, Querétaro).
