Job Description
SEGULA Technologies is seeking an experienced Track Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major railway infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all railway track construction activities, ensuring that works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project quality standards, technical requirements, budgets, and schedules.
This senior leadership position requires extensive experience managing track construction activities on large-scale railway infrastructure projects, with previous construction management experience on major High-Speed Rail (HSR) projects being mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and oversee railway track construction activities throughout all project phases.
Develop and implement track construction strategies, methodologies, execution plans, and work sequences.
Supervise multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors, and construction resources.
Coordinate track construction interfaces with civil works, structures, railway systems, overhead catenary systems, and logistics.
Monitor construction progress, productivity, resource utilization, and achievement of project milestones.
Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, quality standards, and technical specifications.
Identify construction risks, operational challenges, and potential delays, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Project Management teams.
Manage construction planning, workforce allocation, equipment deployment, and site logistics.
Track construction performance against contractual schedules, budgets, and project KPIs.
Prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and construction performance updates to senior project management.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to ensure successful execution and delivery of railway track works.
Perfil
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent technical background.
Significant professional experience in railway track construction on major infrastructure projects.
Mandatory: Previous experience as a Construction Director, Construction Manager, or equivalent senior construction leader on a major High-Speed Rail (HSR) project.
Demonstrated expertise in railway track construction methods, construction sequencing, worksite organization, and railway logistics.
Strong understanding of interfaces between track works, civil infrastructure, railway systems, and electrification.
Proven ability to lead large, multicultural construction teams and manage subcontractors.
Excellent leadership, coordination, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working on complex international infrastructure projects.
Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
Mandatory Experience – Important
Apply only if you have proven experience in railway track construction management on major High-Speed Rail (HSR) projects, having previously held a Construction Director, Construction Manager, or equivalent senior construction leadership position.
Candidates with experience exclusively in general civil construction, buildings, roads, or non-HSR infrastructure projects without the required High-Speed Rail construction leadership background will not meet the mandatory criteria.
