Missão

**This is a temporary 2-month contract, from October to December 2026.**

SEGULA Technologies is looking for a Value Optimization Engineer to support automotive engineering programs and identify innovative cost, weight, complexity, and value optimization opportunities across vehicle systems.

Your Mission:

You will collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, CAE, and suppliers to develop solutions that improve vehicle value while maintaining performance, safety, quality, durability, manufacturability, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities.
  • Identify and develop cost, weight, complexity, and commonization opportunities.
  • Benchmark vehicle designs, components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop technical and financial business cases for optimization opportunities.
  • Support teardown analysis, should-cost studies, and design-to-value initiatives.
  • Evaluate proposed changes for performance, safety, durability, NVH, manufacturability, and warranty impact.
  • Coordinate opportunities from concept through validation, engineering release, and implementation.
  • Present recommendations, technical trade-offs, and business cases to program leadership.

Areas of Automotive Experience:

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Body / Trim Engineering – experience with fascias, trim, and related components.
  2. Chassis Brakes & Steering Engineering – experience with the design and/or development of brake and steering systems.
  3. Chassis Wheels & Tires Engineering – experience with overall system functional design.
  4. Interior Door Modules, Hard Trim & Safety Components Engineering – experience with aesthetic components and safety-related dependencies.
  5. Interior Cockpit, Soft Trim & Consoles Engineering – experience with specific components and understanding of component synergies.


Perfil

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in automotive engineering, value engineering, cost optimization, design release, benchmarking, or product development.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle components, materials, manufacturing processes, and design validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with VA/VE workshops, teardown costing, should-cost analysis, or supplier cost reduction.
  • Knowledge of NX, Teamcenter, PLM, APQP/PPAP, and engineering change processes.
  • Experience with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
