Missão

Responsible for executing full-cycle accounting operations in strict adherence to the client's defined accounting calendar and compliance standards. This role covers month-end closing, account reconciliations, operational accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The objective is to guarantee data integrity, resolve accounting anomalies, and support audit and internal control requirements.

General Ledger & Month-End Closing

  • Perform monthly closing activities and general accounting processes according to the client's established schedule.
  • Prepare, post, and review recurring and month-end journal entries in the ERP/accounting systems.
  • Calculate provisions, prepare accruals and adjustment entries, and maintain detailed supporting documentation.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and analytical reviews of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts to identify, analyze, and resolve variances.

Operational & Sub-Ledger Accounting

  • Oversee vendor and customer accounting flows, ensuring proper integration into the accounting systems.
  • Perform daily/monthly bank reconciliations, cash tracking, and consistency checks across accounts.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and asset ledger reconciliations.
  • Perform inventory accounting, tracking receipts, issuances, consumption, and valuation updates.
Tax Compliance, Statutory & Financial Reporting
  • Prepare necessary data and schedules for statutory filings and tax declarations, including VAT, DEB/DES (EC Sales/Purchase Lists), and other local regulatory obligations.
  • Perform tax reconciliations and post required tax-related journal entries.
  • Support the preparation of financial, operational, and treasury management reporting packages.
  • Ensure data reliability for all financial inputs used in upper-level management and group reporting.

Data Quality, Anomaly Resolution & Process Control

  • Monitor data integration flows across systems to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Track accounting anomalies, conduct root-cause analysis, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Maintain, update, and track balance justification files and reconciliation schedules within expected deadlines.
  • Support internal control frameworks and external audit requests by providing system extractions, account analyses, and audit schedules.

Key Deliverables (Expected Outputs)

  • Complete and posted recurring and closing journal entries for assigned entities.
  • Calculated provisions, adjustment entries, and associated justification workpapers.
  • Balance Sheet and P&L account analysis files with documented variance resolutions.
  • Bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and consistency control reports.
  • Updated asset registers, inventory tracking schedules, and payroll integration logs.
  • Accurate preparation packages for VAT, DEB/DES, and other tax/statutory returns.
  • Audit-ready documentation packages (system exports, reconciliations, supporting evidence).
  • Up-to-date process documentation and updated SOP files reflecting operational changes.

Perfil

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in general accounting or shared services environments (automotive sector experience is a strong asset).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in enterprise accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle etc).
    • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
    • Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, tax declarations (VAT, DEB/DES), and sub-ledger operations (AP/AR/Bank/Assets/Payroll).
  • Competencies:
    • High attention to detail, analytical rigor, and data accuracy.
    • Strong organizational skills to consistently meet strict closing deadlines.
    • Professional fluency in French, intermediate in English.
