Missão

Position Overview We are seeking a Systems & Requirements Engineer to define, author, maintain, and govern customer-level feature requirements for current and future vehicle programs. In this role, you will act as the primary bridge between product planning, core engineering, systems engineering, HMI, software, hardware, and physical validation teams. You will translate customer expectations, field insights, and competitive benchmarks into clear, testable, and traceable technical specifications across the vehicle lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Lifecycle Management: Own the authoring, baselining, review, approval, and status tracking of engineering requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • System Decomposition: Translate customer needs, voice-of-customer clinics, and field insights into platform-level functional and non-functional specifications.

  • Cross-Functional Interface Alignment: Facilitate multidisciplinary requirement reviews to resolve technical gaps, system conflicts, interface dependencies, and architectural constraints.

  • Bidirectional Traceability: Maintain end-to-end traceability from high-level feature intent down to software, hardware, and validation plans using ALM tools. Evaluate change requests for technical, timing, cost, and compliance impacts.

  • Safety & Regulatory Integration: Partner with validation teams to establish acceptance criteria and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.

Perfil

Key Competencies

  • Requirements Engineering & Authoring: Direct experience writing clear, testable, unambiguous, and traceable specifications using INCOSE-aligned engineering standards.

  • Systems Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems engineering, including functional decomposition, network topology diagrams, interface definitions, and software/hardware interactions.

  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM): Experience using tools such as IBM DOORS or IBM DOORS Next Gen to manage baselines, trace dependencies, and report status.

  • Functional Safety & Compliance: Practical knowledge of ISO 26262 requirements allocation, safety cases, and automotive regulatory frameworks.

  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Excellent ability to facilitate technical reviews, align disparate engineering groups, and explain technical specifications to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering (or ABET-accredited equivalent). Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: 1–5 years of automotive product development experience with direct responsibility for requirements definition, functional analysis, or lifecycle management.

  • Domain Exposure: Familiarity with automotive functional domains (e.g., Interior, Body, Electrical, Infotainment, HMI, or Connectivity).
