Missão
Position Overview We are seeking a Feature Domain Modeling Engineer (FDME) to drive Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods across our vehicle engineering teams. In this role, you will develop operational, system, subsystem, and component-layer models to define vehicle features, optimize system architecture, and eliminate specification issues early in the design cycle. Working within an Agile framework, you will bridge the gap between system architects, product owners, and software engineers to streamline time-to-market and simplify product diversity management.
Key Responsibilities
MBSE Model Development: Create, maintain, and execute operational, system, subsystem, and component-level MBSE models across vehicle feature domains.
Traceability & Root Cause Analysis: Establish bidirectional traceability reports connecting engineering requirements, MBSE models, and test cases. Generate test reports for individual modeling layers and perform root cause analysis on identified issues.
Framework & Toolchain Management: Manage SysML/MBSE modeling projects (utilizing tools such as IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody), ensuring version control, guideline compliance, and alignment with online repositories. Provide direct toolchain feedback and bug reports to software vendors.
MBSE Method Deployment: Partner with System Team Leaders and System Architects to define high-value use cases for MBSE integration across systems and software. Monitor implementation using daily dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Agile Integration: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Big Room Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives) and adapt model development to iterative delivery cycles.
Team Enablement: Support modeling resource allocation across system teams, assess MBSE coverage, and identify coaching or training needs for engineering personnel.
Perfil
Key Competencies
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Direct experience applying MBSE methodologies, SysML concepts, and functional decomposition to complex embedded engineering systems.
Toolchain Expertise: Proficiency in SysML/UML tools (specifically IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody or similar modeling environments) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) workflows.
System Traceability & Quality Control: Ability to map requirements directly to behavioral models and test suites to reduce integrational friction and specification gaps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with System Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters.
Agile Engineering Practices: Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Scrum methodologies within a systems engineering environment.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Software Engineering (or an equivalent technical discipline).
Experience: Hands-on experience developing MBSE architectures, writing technical test reports, and deploying systems engineering processes within the automotive, aerospace, or complex embedded systems industries.
Technical Skills: Strong background in functional architecture decomposition, behavioral modeling, and root cause analysis.
