Job Summary

SEGULA Technologies Mexico is seeking an experienced, dynamic PMO Manager / PMO Lead based in Mexico City. Operating under a hybrid work arrangement, you will oversee project management governance, operational efficiency, and financial tracking for engineering consultancy programs across our core sectors (Automotive, Aerospace, Energy, and Mobility).

In this role, you will act as the strategic bridge between SEGULA’s local engineering delivery teams (across CDMX, Puebla, and Querétaro), key global OEM clients, and senior business leadership. You will establish standardized project management frameworks, track project margins and resource utilization, and ensure the successful, on-time delivery of technical work packages.

Key Responsibilities

1. PMO Governance & Standardized Processes

  • Establish, standardize, and enforce SEGULA’s PMO methodologies, KPI tracking, and quality gateways across all active engineering consulting projects in Mexico.

  • Maintain central project visibility by managing program status dashboards, risk logs (RAID), change controls, and executive milestone reporting.

  • Drive project post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering delivery models.

2. Project Financials & Resource Management

  • Monitor project P&L, tracking profit margins, billable resource utilization, work-package scope execution, and budget variances across multi-client accounts.

  • Collaborate with HR and Engineering Operations to manage staffing allocation, onboarding of technical consultants, and ramp-up plans for new tenders and contracts.

  • Track invoicing milestones, purchase order (PO) burn rates, and scope change requests to guarantee maximum commercial recovery from clients.

3. Client & Cross-Office Alignment (Mexico Regional Delivery)

  • Interface with key stakeholders and client project managers at major OEM and Tier-1 facilities across Central Mexico.

  • Coordinate project execution and resource sharing between the Mexico City hub and technical offices/sites in Puebla, Querétaro, and regional client plants.

  • Support Commercial and Business Development teams in preparing technical/financial proposals (RFPs/RFQs) for engineering work packages.

Perfil

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. (PMP certification or Master's degree is a strong plus).

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 2–3 years leading a Project Management Office (PMO) within an engineering consulting firm, Automotive Tier 1/OEM environment, or industrial services company.

  • Project Management Tools: Advanced knowledge of MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Power BI (for executive dashboarding), and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).

  • Methodologies: Strong knowledge of PMBOK, Agile/Scrum, APQP/VDA gateway processes, and Lean engineering principles.

  • Languages: Bilingual English and Spanish (mandatory written and spoken fluency for global client interaction). Proficiency in French is a plus.

  • Work Availability: Ability to work in a Hybrid scheme (partially remote / partially in the Mexico City office) with occasional regional travel to client sites or branch offices (Puebla / Querétaro) as needed.

Key Competencies

  • Strategic Vision & Commercial Sense: Ability to balance technical execution with business profitability and client satisfaction.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to influence and align multidisciplinary teams (Design Engineers, HR, Sales, and Client Leads).

  • Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable driving structure and clarity in a fast-growing, multi-project consulting environment.
