Missão
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical packaging and wiring installation solutions for vehicle electrical systems.
- Support the development of electrical and electronic (EE) components through packaging, routing, and installation design activities.
- Create and maintain electrical wiring layouts, harness routing, and installation documentation using industry-standard engineering tools.
- Develop, review, and approve technical solutions while ensuring alignment with electrical architecture strategies and engineering standards.
- Define and optimize routing for electrical wiring harnesses and high-voltage or power cables within vehicle packaging constraints.
- Ensure electrical packaging and installation requirements are considered across current and future product development projects.
- Support manufacturing and production teams by resolving installation and packaging-related issues, including on-site support when required.
- Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements to enhance manufacturability, serviceability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Make engineering decisions regarding design modifications and propose innovative technical solutions to complex packaging challenges.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and supplier engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support suppliers in the development and production of vehicle wiring harnesses by providing accurate installation documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, design guidelines, and product quality requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to peers within the engineering organization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical packaging methods, tools, and engineering processes.
Perfil
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in electrical packaging, wiring installation, or electrical distribution system design within the commercial vehicle or automotive industry.
- Strong electrical engineering background with comprehensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Saber for 2D electrical wiring design and schematic development.
- Extensive experience using CATIA V5, including electrical harness routing and 3D packaging of wiring harnesses and power cables.
- Strong understanding of electrical packaging principles, wiring harness design, and installation requirements.
- Experience developing technical solutions from concept through production.
- Ability to review, approve, and validate engineering designs and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple engineering activities and priorities.
