Missão
The NVHI Engineer is responsible for packaging, releasing, and verifying the performance of NVHI components, including but not limited to stuffers, fender seals, hood silencers, body plugs, interior/exterior tunnels, dash inner and outer panels, and other NVHI-related interior and exterior elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and release NVHI components.
- Ensure NVHI systems meet vehicle performance objectives.
- Serve as the regional single point of contact for NVHI validation.
- Plan and coordinate test activities, including lab scheduling and vehicle/buck ordering.
- Investigate and resolve test issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams during launch and serial life phases.
- Support the development of technical specifications and testing methods, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.
- Lead updates to DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DVP&R (Design Validation Plan and Report).
- Troubleshoot validation issues and define corrective actions with engineering teams and suppliers.
- Support launch activities and ongoing production programs as needed.
- Plan and execute validation tests.
- Benchmark NVHI components by vehicle or function.
Perfil
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET-accredited university.
- 1–5 years of experience in automotive interior/exterior design and releasing.
- Experience releasing NVHI, hard trim, or plastic components.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, and mold flow virtual validation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MSME or MSEE) from an ABET-accredited university.
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
- Shainin Green Belt certification preferred.
- Experience with NX and Teamcenter.
