Missão

Value Optimization & Financial Management

  • Target Tracking: Identify, benchmark, budget, and track cost reduction activities and projects to meet technical cost reduction targets.
  • Budgeting & Tools Management: Provide Metafunction budget needs to PC&CO for Global Finance (COO) approval requests. Manage, support, and optimize all regional tools for Metafunction VO activities (eVOS, MCM, etc.).
  • Reporting: Present regional results overviews and detailed splits by each subsystem; manage VO KPIs using Status vs. Target charts.
  • Compliance: Guarantee strict conformity to Internal Control System rules.

Benchmarking & Idea Generation

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support Metafunction Teams on Design to Cost (Upfront development) and System/Components Benchmarking.
  • Teardown & Reviews: Lead benchmarking and standardization activities across Metafunctions, including A2MAC reviews, Part/System reviews, and Vehicle Hoist / Teardown reviews.
  • Workshop Leadership: Coordinate and lead Idea Generation activities (Supplier/Engineering Submissions, Benchmarking & Internal Workshops).
  • Feasibility Analysis: Lead the initial evaluation and disposition of new ideas, determining engineering feasibility and performing competitive benchmarking.

Stakeholder Alignment & Global Synergy

  • Cross-Pollination: Interact with counterparts across all global regions to maximize the replication of technical proposals and cost-saving plans.
  • Supplier Engagement: Support PC&CO to engage suppliers and stakeholders with a strict focus on value optimization.

Commodities & Systems Involved

You will support systems/components benchmark activities across a wide range of automotive commodities, ensuring they meet performance through systems:

  • Body & Interior: BIW, Interior Components, Trim.
  • Chassis & Braking: Chassis components and architectural hardware.
  • Propulsion & Powertrain: Engine components, Transmission, ePT, Battery components, and Propulsion systems.
  • Electrical & HVAC: Electrical components, Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning, and Engine Systems.

Perfil

What We’re Looking For 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing from an ABET-accredited university (or equivalent relevant credentials).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a design, release, manufacturing processing, or cost engineering role within the automotive industry. Full product life cycle experience is preferred.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter is required.
  • Costing Knowledge: Experience in activity-based costing, quoting, or developing EDD, variable, and/or tooling costs.
  • Quality & Lean Methodologies: Knowledge of Shainin Red X (or other reactive quality tools), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and lean product development.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills to drive projects with global teams.
  • Languages: High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
