Senior Engineer – Electrical Installation & Pneumatics

The automotive industry is facing its biggest technology shift in decades. At Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) in Gothenburg, we are leading this transformation. We are now looking for a Senior Engineer within our Electrical Installation & Pneumatic Front team to take on technical ownership and develop next-generation chassis solutions alongside a supportive, highly motivated team.

• Lead component and QJ work, as well as development projects for pneumatic and electrical installations (signal and high voltage) from early phases to product maintenance.

• Provide input into product and system roadmaps, ensuring designs fulfill both technical and business requirements.

• Lead and delegate work packages to cross-functional consultant teams and global sites, primarily collaborating with our team in Bangalore, India.

• Drive close alignment with Purchasing, Production, FVV, and Aftermarket.

• Offer technical advice, mentor colleagues, and share expertise across the organization.

Primary design and documentation tools used: CREO (CAD) and KOLA.

Who You Are

You thrive in a collaborative, structured, and analytical environment. You bring strong problem-solving skills, take initiative, and build lasting, trust-based relationships across multi-cultural teams.

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent, 10 + years of experience

• Hands-on engineering experience in sheet metal and/or plastic design.

• Proficiency in CAD (CREO) and PDM systems.

• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, verification methods, and automotive design (truck experience is a plus).

• Work Authorization: A valid EU work permit is required for this position.
