About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Advanced Operations Specialist to join our team supporting Propulsion Systems and Engines engineering operations.In this role, you will act as a key operational bridge for Product Engineers—managing part number releases, component change documentation, prototype testing work orders, supplier coordination, and procurement tracking. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth engineering execution, vehicle family validation, and flawless tool kick-offs across our product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Part Number Management: Upload, manage, and audit part numbers for assigned vehicle families within corporate product lifecycle data systems.
Engineering Change Control: Process documentation, Change Notices (CNs), and technical modifications for components according to instructions from designated Product Engineers.
Testing & Lab Work Orders: Process work orders for testing laboratories and workshops based on validation plans defined by Product Engineers.
Procurement & Purchase Orders: Generate and track purchase orders for prototype parts acquisition, external laboratory testing, and engineering tooling needs.
Plant Evaluation & Shipping Coordination: Create Production Evaluation Requests (PERs) for component functional testing in assembly plants prior to production implementation, and coordinate prototype parts logistics between suppliers and assembly plants.
Approval & Supplier Release: Release temporary or definitive approvals for part validation (Interim Approval Authorizations) and lead part development releases with suppliers via the Source Package process.
Tooling & Technical Documentation: Create and drive approval for Tool Kick-Off (TKO) requests for parts on assigned vehicle families. Obtain critical product change information, implementation dates, technical bulletins, standards, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Profil
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry, administrative engineering, or project management. (Recent graduates with internship/trainee experience in manufacturing will also be considered).
Automotive Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive systems (specifically powertrain/propulsion systems), assembly line workflows, and manufacturing processes.
Product Lifecycle & Tools: Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, project management methodologies, and core productivity software (MS Office, Google Workspace, MS Project).
Language: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Soft Skills: Proactive, disciplined, and highly organized with strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting prototype part validation, tool kick-offs (TKO), or assembly plant evaluations.
Exposure to statistical and project management software (e.g., Minitab).
