Job Description – IC Engine Dynamics & Durability Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IC Engine Dynamics & Durability Engineer with a strong background in internal combustion engine (ICE) systems, structural dynamics, and durability analysis. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and validation of engine components using advanced CAE tools and simulation techniques.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  1. Strong understanding of Internal Combustion (IC) Engine fundamentals, architecture, and operating principles.
  2. Hands-on experience in IC Engine Dynamics, including cranktrain dynamic analysis and vibration behavior.
  3. Knowledge of IC Engine Durability analysis, fatigue assessment, and component life prediction.
  4. Proficiency in AVL Excite (Power Unit/PU) for engine dynamics and cranktrain simulations.
  5. Experience in ICE Cranktrain Dynamics and Durability analysis using CAE methodologies.
  6. Exposure to ICE Mechanical Systems (MechSys) analysis is considered an added advantage.
  7. Working knowledge of Abaqus for finite element analysis (FEA), structural, and dynamic simulations.
  8. Experience with FEMFAT for fatigue and durability evaluation of engine components.
  9. Familiarity with Contects SLMDrive is desirable but not mandatory.
  10. Ability to interpret simulation results, identify design improvements, and provide engineering recommendations.
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
  12. Good communication skills with the ability to document technical findings and present simulation outcomes to stakeholders.
