Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop end-to-end system architecture for software deployment solutions across onboard and offboard vehicle ecosystems.
- Lead the architecture and design of Remote Software Download (Over-the-Air/OTA) and connectivity services to ensure reliable software delivery and vehicle uptime.
- Collaborate with system architects and engineering teams to establish robust technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
- Analyze business and technical requirements from Production, Aftermarket, and Development organizations, and translate them into comprehensive technical concepts.
- Drive technical discussions and facilitate alignment among cross-functional stakeholders.
- Present and anchor proposed architectural concepts in governance and architecture review forums for approval.
- Document system architecture, technical concepts, design decisions, and decision logs to support future development and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership in areas involving ambiguity or evolving requirements by applying deep domain expertise and sound engineering judgment.
- Execute assigned architectural activities in accordance with project plans, organizational processes, and technical directives.
- Take ownership and accountability for deliverables while proactively identifying technical risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Support implementation teams by providing architectural guidance and ensuring compliance with defined system architecture.
- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the architecture and engineering community.
Profil
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in automotive software systems, connected vehicle technologies, or embedded software architecture.
- Recognized technical expert in software deployment, connectivity services, and vehicle software lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Remote Software Download (OTA – Over-the-Air) technologies and software transfer mechanisms.
- Extensive experience with onboard and offboard systems supporting software deployment and connectivity services.
- Strong understanding of connected vehicle architectures, software update management, diagnostics, and uptime services.
- Proven experience in system architecture, technical concept development, and requirements analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
- Self-driven, accountable, and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative architecture team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive communication protocols and connected vehicle platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles related to OTA software updates and connected services.
- Familiarity with automotive software development processes, systems engineering methodologies, and industry standards.
- Experience working in Agile and SAFe development environments.
- Exposure to cloud-based backend platforms supporting connected vehicle and OTA services.
- Experience participating in architecture governance boards and technical review committees.
