Zadania

At Segula Technologies, we are a global engineering group helping boost competitiveness within all major industrial sectors. We are looking for an experienced and driven Internal Logistics Lead to join our team and oversee new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

As the Internal Logistics Lead, you will play a critical role in the development and optimization of our logistics networks. You will be at the forefront of our pre-production phases, coordinating closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure operational readiness and lean process implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of an optimal internal logistics network for new product introductions and continuous improvement projects.

  • Strategize and manage material delivery methods, including Tier 1 Module delivery, sequence commodities, kitting strategies, as well as bulk and small lot delivery.

  • Perform long-lead and front-end engineering for logistics processes, which includes estimating requirements for automation, surface area, docks, and equipment.

  • Support the program team by conducting special studies for cost justification.

  • Present station readiness plans to the steering committee and directly to the customer.

  • Present logistics and station designs to the core launch team, collaborating with product, engineering, industrial engineering, and operational team members.

  • Lead simulation and bottleneck analyses to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate process constraints.

  • Provide strategic direction to Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to successfully implement design and process improvements.

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) workshops and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Track and report key launch metrics, including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and overall throughput performance.

  • Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during the pre-production phases.

Profil

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely related technical field.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in internal logistics, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain optimization, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing or automotive environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing New Product Introductions (NPI) and taking processes from the front-end engineering phase through to full production launch.

Technical Skills

  • Strong background in spatial planning and station design, with proficiency in 2D/3D layout software (e.g., AutoCAD) to estimate surface area, docks, and equipment requirements.

  • Experience leading simulation and bottleneck analyses using industry-standard modeling software.

  • Solid financial acumen to conduct cost-justification studies for capital equipment and automation investments.

  • Deep understanding of material delivery strategies, specifically Tier 1 Module delivery, sequence commodities, kitting, and bulk/small lot processes.

Methodologies & Leadership

  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies; certification in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) is highly advantageous.

  • Proven ability to lead Kaizen workshops and drive cross-functional alignment between Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams.

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of meeting strict cycle time, first-time quality, and throughput metrics during pilot builds and pre-production.

Communication & Interpersonal

  • Excellent presentation skills, with the executive presence required to report launch metrics and station readiness plans directly to steering committees and core launch teams.

  • Advanced bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate across global teams and localized operational units.
