Company Description

For a power generation IPP project in Dubai, UAE, we are mobilizing an Owner’s Engineer team to support EPC design review, construction supervision, site inspection, testing, commissioning, COD readiness, and warranty-period follow-up.

We are looking for experienced professionals with strong EPC, Owner’s Engineer, consultant-side, power generation, utilities, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, thermal power, or industrial project experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a Welding Site Inspector to inspect welding activities, welding documentation, NDT coordination, and compliance with approved welding procedures for a confidential power generation IPP project in Dubai.

Key responsibilities include:

·       Inspect welding activities for piping, structural steel, supports, and related mechanical works.

·       Verify WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, consumables, material traceability, fit-up, preheat, welding parameters, and post-weld requirements.

·       Coordinate and review NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, PT, and visual inspection.

·       Monitor pressure testing, hydrotesting, reinstatement, and test pack completion where applicable.

·       Raise NCRs, observations, and punch list items when required.

·       Maintain welding inspection records, weld maps, NDT records, and quality documentation.

·       Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer, QA/QC team, and EPC Contractor.

Profil

Qualifications

·       Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.

·       Minimum 7 years of welding inspection experience.

·       CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent certification is preferred.

·       Experience in power, oil & gas, utilities, industrial plants, or EPC projects.

·       Strong knowledge of welding codes, NDT, QA/QC documentation, and site inspection practices.
