Test Mechanic

Job Description

Organizes and maintains lab equipment, tools and supplies.
Organizes and maintains inventory of wiring harness components to be used for prototype manufacturing and repairs.
Modify existing wiring harnesses to implement changes as directed by the wiring engineer.
Build prototype wiring harnesses or cables according to design provided by the wiring harness engineer.
Check wiring harnesses for implementation of temporary changes by supplier.
Supports in troubleshooting wiring problem.
Authors problem reports for wiring harness defects identified in the wiring lab.

Qualifications

Experience with wiring harness manufacturing and repair tools.
Experience with lab inventory control methods.
Experience with automotive or commercial electrical troubleshooting.
Commercial vehicle or automotive wiring harness manufacturing or repair experience.
In depth knowledge of automotive connector suppliers and connector families.
5+years' experience with wiring design, manufacturing and/or repair.
Associate Engineering degree or related professional trade education.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
