Position Summary
Responsible for the system design, development, and engineering release of powertrain mounts, differential mounts, cradle mounts, electric drive module (EDM) mounts, body mounts, and adapter brackets. Executes comprehensive work plans to achieve component and system-level functional objectives with on-time delivery from initial concept through vehicle launch.
Key Responsibilities
Design & CAE Ownership: Own complete component design, FMEA creation, and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) structural/durability analysis.
Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with key support groups—including NVH, Vehicle Dynamics, Integration, Stress Lab, and CAE—to execute all validation activities.
Project & Efficiency Tracking: Monitor project deliverables using key KPIs and Cost/Weight/Investment (C/W/I) efficiency targets.
Target Setting & Problem Solving: Establish performance targets, identify gaps against requirements, and lead root-cause problem-solving activities.
Profilo
Qualifications
Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university (Master’s or MBA preferred).
Experience: 1–3 years of direct experience in chassis powertrain mount design and product development.
Technical Methodologies: Demonstrated application of structured problem-solving (e.g., Red-X, 8D) and robust design principles.
